The Metafino Lay-in false ceiling system features steel or aluminum tiles measuring 595 mm x 595 mm. These tiles are manufactured from 0.50 mm thick polyester coil-coated galvanized steel with a 120 gsm zinc coating or 0.7 mm aluminum powder-coated with 60 microns polyester paint in AA5050, AA3105, or AA1050 aluminum alloys. Available with square or beveled edges, the coil-coated steel tiles have a 20-micron polyester-coated finish on the front and an 8-micron alkyd primer coating on the back.
The exposed metal grid system includes main runners and cross tees, roll-formed from galvanized steel with a 120 gsm zinc coating. The main and cross tees, equipped with bayonet couplings for quick installation, have heights of 32/38 mm and 26 mm, respectively. The grid is suspended from the roof using G.I. wire rods and suspension hangers, spaced at a maximum of 1200 mm, and filled with 1200 mm or 600 mm cross tees. The hangers are fixed to the roof with expansion fasteners, while wall angles, measuring 24 mm x 24 mm x 0.4 mm, are made of coil-coated steel to match the tile color.
